Job Description

As Senior BI & DWH Engineer you work with the most important driver of digitalisation: data. You help transform data into information and create the basis for decisions. To identify the technical and functional requirements, you work closely with the specialist and technical departments of our clients. In the development and concrete implementation, you work with the latest technologies in the areas of Data Processing, Cloud Data Platform & Warehouse, Data Blending and Machine Learning from vendors such as Microsoft, Alteryx, Snowflake as well as open source solutions. Your activities therefore cover a wide spectrum: from planning and conception through to concrete technical implementation.

In addition to projects with our clients, the further development of internal data expertise at Banian is also an important part of your role. This gives rise to various exciting areas of activity:

• Independent project implementation and management with our clients in the Data & Analytics domain
• Application of modern technologies with our clients
• Evaluation of «State of the Art» methods, standards, guidelines and tools for software development
• Development of software and software components incl. requirements engineering
• Further development of the Business Intelligence and Data Management business area at Banian
• Co-shaping and further development of Banian as a young company

What you bring

• Competence in working with databases and programming languages
• Completed degree from a higher education institution (ETH, Uni or FH)
• Practical experience in modelling methods (Dimensional, DataVault etc.)
• Interested, independent and committed to tackling complex problems
• Great passion for working with data
• Experience in Business Intelligence or other data-oriented projects and systems
